Other then the hole added in the bottom for the added different choke valve after aprox feb 1969 I am not aware of any nuance differences in the base. I wouldn't be surprised if there were.

Yes, the Ca. cars had a hole/hose to the charcoal canister on the passenger side. IF the cars were sold after January 1970, and or for all 1970 models.

I believe I have two of these air cleaner assemblies

There is the early type flat base c8oe  68 69 then in feb 69 on into 70 428 cj c9zz had the  rear hump indent just above throttle cable and kick down rod if a c6 automatic and i always thought the hump was stamped into base for more clearance for new 69 automatic kickdown rod as 68s never used the kickdown rod setup.
