Are the floor drain plugs for a 67 Mustang and Shelby the same from all 3 plants? Hard to find pics for the Dearborn plant. Here is a pic of  a car Vern sold on BaT. 67 Shelby(SJ plant). Thanks

Yes I believe you will find that all three plants used the same provider

Thanks and to be clear all added after paintwork on car? What type of sealer around the plugs? Jeff, I hate to admit this but have a hard time just finding pics like you just posted on the concours site. I did searches this morning then looked at all the unrestored Dearborn 67 and 68 cars without any luck.

Yes added after the car was painted. Looks to be a dark colored chalking likely very dark gray or black in the picture in the top left where there is not allot of dust and dirt on it in sections

Thanks. I got a friend with a Dearborn 67 FB that is a top award winning car(NOT concours but pretty stock with a 40K paint job)). It was the World HQRs display car for a good part of the 67 model year highlighting new thing like the turn signal hood. 390 4 speed deluxe interior non GT. His mother in law worked in marketing for the guy who ordered the car. She bought it off the employee lot and he and his wife still have it.  At Autorama I noticed his floor plugs were primer red and looked to be upside down.

Maybe not the case here but up side down plug plates and painting red oxide are typically novice restorer mistakes regardless of year.

I'm sure that is what it is Bob as the car isn't concours restored but restored to be an ISCA winning show car. Car is near perfect but not in a concours way. Heck he took a car that won it's class at Detroit Autorama before and had a 40K paint job put on it with messaging the ill factory fitting body lines better. He runs headers, Hurst shifter etc in it. Moldings are chrome and not anodized. Little things like that. I noticed from the mirrors under his car at Autorama on Sunday the plugs looked like they were upside down and the floors was red oxide primered with the plugs in. Its a cool unique car with a great history that he might even be able to get over 200K for it but it is NOT for sale(A few high end classic car dealers wanted the car before). Look how his chromed rocker moldings just pop. To be clear though seeing his plugs primered and upside down I wanted to get the skinny on that. I think I'll talk him into removing them and doing them right because the underside will look better in my opinion.
