Careful now...I own the Mannix TV series car, used in Seasons 1 & 2:  1968 Dart GTS Convertible with a 340.

98SVT - was 06GT

Quote from: Side-Oilers on January 17, 2023, 04:01:19 PMHollywood is 99% BS, and so are most of its cars.

For the most part 20 footers built to awe an audience then throw away. George Barris' brother Sam was the genius metal worker - George was the designer and face of the company. After Sam left it became more Movie-TV than quality built customer cars https://www.whichcar.com.au/features/the-custom-creations-of-george-and-sam-barris

Sam's 51 Merc sold for 2.14 million last year - highest price for a 50s custom. It's also on the historic registry of cars.

When will you finish the Mannix Collection and add the Toronado?

Brett:

Mike Connors told me the Tornado roadster (no top at all) was a real POS. Like driving a cardboard box with the top cut off.

He loved the Dart. Had a lot of memories about it.

The only other Mannix car I'd like to have is the '70 'Cuda convertible. Similar dark metallic green color to the Dart.  That was a 340 also.  A 383 'Cuda has turned up, claiming to be a Mannix car, but it isn't.
