I have a friend in NJ who is restoring a '67, and he needs the hood pin brackets.  I have two I picked up from Branda over the last 2 years, and wondered how did they bend them to make the passenger's side?  Besides the bend, are they the same, or are the passenger side versions without the top slot?

I have not seen how the repro people do the bend which most likely is similar to how it was done originally.  I don't think the bend can be done easily with tools around the typical home shop if that is what you are after. Someone else may have better intel. .

I just heard back from Hunter Willaird who told me that you have to cut out a slight wedge shape piece, bend it, then weld and grind it.  Yes, not for the home based mechanic.
