Brought 3120 home in 1975. Last year I thought I would have front end aligned because tires wore out on inside edges. You know how one thing leads to another, so here we are now.
Is that car in Michigan, John?
Yes, hopefully ready for spring.
Who is restoring it for you? Gary

Rod, you really got the ball rolling for us old timers! Congrats on your long term ownership. I bought 3131 on August 9, 1967 new at age 22 + 300 days. I was lucky enough to finish college with money in the bank and Schmidt Ford was glad to take it. Long story short, but college doesn't give you common sense and I never thought a few tickets would be a problem getting insurance. Man was I wrong. When I called the insurance broker, he refused it sell me insurance. I had the car titled in my father's name and it was insured through him. When I got married, he sold it my wife for $1. We are still married and whenever someone asks if its for sale, my wife tells them, " I drove that car to my wedding and I am never selling it!" Still enjoy it!

Can't tell from that angle, but do you have inboard/outboard lights?

Looks like both.

It has outboard lights. I added a pair of driving lights behind the grill. We did some road rallies in the 60's and 70's. There was an active sports car club scene with lots of TSD and gimmick rallies. Even an introductory course on how to participate in a TSD rally that one club held every year. We participated in the Maryland Monte Carlo in 1970. It was a three day event starting at night on Friday and ending Sunday afternoon. Great fun. Anyone out there part of the Maryland sports car clubs then? Here's another picture of 3131. The couple standing next to it borrowed it to drive to their wedding in 1967! The picture was taken on their 50th anniversary in July 2017.

Ya know, I ran quite a few gimmick road rallyes in the Chicago area during the 1971/1972 time frame with #0036.   And also a couple of Time-Speed-Distance rallyes.  If you didn't have a "Halda", in a TSD, you were out of luck.

Ah, I love a sweet story like that.  I drove our Hertz car on my wedding day in 1992.  Yup, still together too.
