Yes, drive it in!

There is just no room for truck/trailers, or any spectator parking. Only the marque cars, we'll be happy to have you. In fact, I'll probably be parking you. Run me over!

(I just had to correct Bill, and make sure the point was clear about no trailer or spectator parking)

Just so I am clear if I show up in my 68 Shelby will I be let in?  I am going to leave the truck and trailer at the hotel. I just can't tell from your post if I can drive my car in.

I think that I will be in the outside paddock as an Open Track participate. It's next to the tower where all of the track guys will have to report.

The corner workers will report to the Tower if you get brain fade on the track.

1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / Big Block Shifter Reverse Rod ...
Last post by brandosaac - June 17, 2026, 06:48:48 PM
Question ;
I Did a moch up install of a 68 big block shifter on a Mustang toploader with C7OR mid position tail and FE kick back plate.
Im wondering if the reverse rod is supposed to have this appx 3/4" upwards bend near the middle ???

Also, am I correct in thinking that rods and levers were the same on big block / small block? ,
I realize that big block mixing box was slightly different with the reverse lever angled back

Any info is good info, thanks

Thanks for the reply.
I actually got a reply from an old Ford guru yeaterday.
He told me the stamped number on the rod was used all 68 year both small block and big block, but not sure when it actually started.
And the 2" shifter bolt spacing was a 1968 march and later

Quote from: Corey Bowcutt on May 28, 2026, 08:56:25 AMIs there trailer parking at the show site?

Corey

No, there is no trailer or spectator parking at the event. It is a private residence, and only the vehicles themselves will be admitted. No street cars, no spectator parking, just the festival cars. There will be staff at the street entrance only allowing in the actual cars. It's a two-lane country road, NO SHOULDER. NO PARKING. Please be courteous, don't block the gate arguing, we expect alot of cars, know the deal before hand. Don't be THAT guy.

But, there is a firehouse nearby that will have parking for trailers. Unload your car, and drive it up. Pm me for details.

I will be bringing up the GT-40 Ken Miles movie car tomorrow, and will confirm trailer parking location.

Please don't roll up with your trailer or everyday car expecting to be let in. Not happening. We already have a VIP list, extra parking is very limited.  The one trailer lot is about 3/4 of a mile from the private estate. Drive it in from there. Doesn't run? sorry.

These are the rules set up way before. If you read the event flyer, you will see this in print, and the flyer has been out for a year.

That's the deal.
