Quote from: Coralsnake on June 30, 2024, 10:22:35 AMJohn do you know the restorer?

It came to Norway from Sweden in 1986. The owner in Sweden was a Tommy Johansson. Swedish licence plate was JGO 080

First owner in Norway was a Bjoern Gundersen. Licence plate was ND 46606

Mr. Gundersen had it until 1993. Then a Jøran Dalen bought it and ower a few years restored it. He passed away last year.

As I understand it, it was sold to a Terje Rød in November 2023, who sold it to the US in February 2024.

Quote from: 67_02078 on April 23, 2024, 06:46:33 PMThank you, John. I figured the owner must live within the metro area of Stockholm or other large city. I have replied to the owner expressing my interest in seeing if this sale can be made to work for us both.

The last time I posted about 02078 I had settled in my mind that it was being cared for and that I should not expect to be able to own it. His email caught me off guard and Ive been pondering all day questions I have and people I want to contact to ask for advise on logistics. More to come.

Quote from: 67_02078 on April 23, 2024, 12:36:03 PMUpdate #2: This morning, I received an email from the current owner of 2078 saying he has decided he is going to sell 2078 and would I be interested in purchasing it. I have been thinking about this possibility this morning and it would be a huge undertaking to get 2078 back to the States. Also, since 2078 has been resto-modded but the OE engine, transmission and 15" ten spoke rims are part of the sale, what would be a price range I should expect? Ive seen recent auction prices of other 67 GT350s so I know they arent cheap.

1 hour North of Stockholm. 😎 Did not know you was looking for it. Found the owner, ph# and address in 2 minutes!

The Grand debut was a little early in Finland. This is from April 12, 1964. VIN# 100167. Yes, it is still around.

I am considering buying this GT500. So I'm looking for more information. I have the register at home and it tells a lot about different owners in Sweden. Not when and how it was restored. I do see added striping and badging from a KR. This is a normal GT500.
Who can help me? So I can check the car at the dealer myself.

Lars Lindahl.....to many with that name ...

Ulf Michaelson is still around.

Seppo Siiki is around..

Some of the names is quite common, and can be a little hard to track down.

If you could get copies of some of the Swedish papers, it would make things much easier.

:o

A close up of the VIN, the stampings look a bit "off"
Tough to read, either be 1446 (Pastel Grey) or 1448 (Acapulco Blue).
Listing shows the car listed as "theft" out of California

To me it looks like 9F02P....!
