I tried to follow a story as much as I could they didn't really show the serial number, but they mentioned it had a full Marti report and that it was in the registry, but did they also mention there was a second car with the same tag number? Was this one of those situations, not to mention I'd really like to see him drive the car that would be impressive and good for him.

April 21, 2026, 06:22:02 PM
Just got an email from Mecum for this one which looks great ,i always find myself opening Acapulco blue listings hoping to one day see a Parchment/Acapulco Blue car but never do ,did they not make one ? i think think it would be a gorgeous combo .https://www.mecum.com/lots/1169360/1967-shelby-gt500-fastback/?utm_source=MarketingCloud&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=SC26+-+R414

I looked it up in my registry & it does mention the Steve McQueen connection & also mentions there's no proof of it but still it would be cool ,i bet it's the only Shelby in the registry with his name attached to it or are there others ?

Coming up in a couple weeks great show ,I went last year with great collection of SoCal Shelby's literally on the runway at the John Wayne airport in Orange County, surrounded by war planes.

At least an idea for a future museum display instead of being in a Mecum glass box.

Thanks for posting love it, but i couldn't help but notice even AI doesn't know the difference between 67 & 68 side stripes  maybe it's been done wrong so many times even AI thought it was correct :D
