I also live in a humid area and have used Stabil for years. Over time I tried other additives, some mentioned previously, but found fuel system corrosion issues and more problems than advantages. I am also running non-ethanol gas which is easy to get at the pump nearby due being near a marina. Stabil.  Non-e fuel is preferred by those with fishing boats and other water craft to keep moisture out of the fuel system, especially during long periods of non-use. I find the same advantage. 8)

My 66 GT350 Paxton SC set up (not original to the car, but period correct parts) had the fuel pressure line direct to the gauge kit with a plastic line! For safety, I installed a fuel pressure control on the firewall that runs actual fuel pressure to the control unit but uses antifreeze from the control unit to the pressure gauge under the dash.

I agre that Costco did not damage my 10 spokes on the 66 when I changed tires a few years ago.

This is what happens when watching too many "Brady Bunch' reruns instead of cataloging your Shelby American collectables.

Congrats , Vern.  It looks like you are going to need a Shelby Cobra Ford Econoline van for enough seats for family outings. 8)

It might have to be something in the Members Only Lounge.

More of a story about Csrroll and Ken and Shelby American workers v the Duece than Ford v Ferrari.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Checkered Flag Miki Iinuma
September 10, 2025, 09:26:51 PM
Our dear friend Miki Iinuma passed away this morning at her daughters home in Sunnyale, CA.  She and her husband, Kei, were looking forward to returning home to Hawaii in a couple of weeks after spending another four months of summer driving the highways of America in their #34 Shelby 8000 Cobra CSX007 going from coast to coast to see friends and enjoy on track events, including the recent SAAC-50 in Sonoma.  It is a heavy loss to many of us.

Legendary SAAC members Richard and PK Cline and their 1966 GT350 are mentioned in Terry Shea's article in the September 2025 "Hemmings Motor News".  Congrats. 8)

Convertible usually have to have a roll bar, I believe. You may want to rent a Mustang coupe.

Looks like it was a Bad Guys car show.  Extremely unfortunate for those affected.

What about the roll up window handle springs available from Amazon and Summit Racing?  I am not sure of the demensions.
