Yes been 45 years ago i started collecting mustangs shelby boss and ford parts. The trunk light bulb area usually has signs of tape  still left on with paint overspray see jeffs photo.

Correct phillips  ground screw since this was a unique a o smith shelby fastback only thing due to fastback all fiberglass decklid vs metal lower and upper fiberglass on the convertibles so they ground like the rest of mustangs. Remember the trunk light was pre installed on 69-70 shelbys so the wiring got body color paint sprayed over it depending on how it was taped to decklid bottom or waded up pushed in the decklid hinge hole eith way they always have some body color sprayed on wiring.

Those were made from my originals i sent to chris brown years ago and are a good copy problem is somebody was stamping wrong dates as these were made in batches and i have had 100 or so over the years even some out of dearborn plant and sold and used them up and rebuilt many but originals are getting hard to find now days so thats why we made them. The oldest one i found was late nov 68 c7af flat type so maybe some started showing up in late dec but for sure in jan 69 then march 69 c9af stated showing up as i kept track of all date codes over the years and gave the list to chris but some people had date codes wrong. These were called heavy duty as people seen them on b9 s and shelbys but they are just a different vendor type like trico went to anco wiper blades in 69 dearborn. I have found these autolites  on 6 cyl and 69 1/2 mavericks 70 torinos pick-ups etc. In 72 ford used them on some vehicles marked motorcraft d2af as i have had to use them switches to rivet on autolte flat plates when they got broke or didnt work and got a box full of donor parts if someone wants to rebuild some.

I been documenting the dimmer switch rubber cap long a go when i only found it on convertibles as when u see the position of switch on the floor board on a vert vs fastback and coupe it makes sense that ford would use it or need it as the vert inner frame rail runs up to torque box and u have less LH foot room to hit the dimmer switch as the switch is in a different location on the vert making it hard to hit especially on a 4-speed with clutch pedal is even harder yet to hit with your foot so the rubber cap is wider and makes it easy to hit the switch. Back years ago people always said it was an option or asessory part. Ford sold it under a c5zz# so it came out starting with the 65 mustangs.
