Please note the price reduction on the as-is unrestored patina versions.  I have sold several sets of these to enthusiasts around the world, so the remaining TEN (1) sets have more patina than the initial offerings.  Once these are gone (both the non-restored and refinished examples) there won't be any more from me.  I also will share my paint code source for those that choose to refinish them in their correct yellow zinc chromate sheen.

Would LOVE to read a narrative from the OP on how SAAC-50 went and how well-received this car was (and hopefully with more photos).

Hello Bob.  When an original owner bought GY racing tires directly from Carroll Shelby, these caps were on the innertubes that he also sold with them.  So they were used for Cobras being raced with that tire/tube set-up.  But a lot of Shelby enthusiasts are putting these on non-racing Cobras and Cobra replicas.  They are just another cool detail item from back in the day.

I communicated with renowned Cobra expert Dan Case regarding these.  The brighter yellow ones are a match to photos he shared with me with respect to the 289 cars.

As for current usage, given their age and the hardened rubber seals that are still internal to these, I would not recommend them for racing usage.  They are strictly ornamental and will still serve as a debris/dust cap to any modern valve stem.

Kind regards,

-Dean

Vintage Schrader Yellow High Pressure Valve Stem Caps

New REDUCED pricing on non-restored originals.  Please read details below.

These are the identical, hard-to-find high pressure valve caps that were on Goodyear innertubes as supplied by Carroll Shelby when he sold racing tires. They have "Schrader U.S.A. MS 20813-1" engraved on the side, the prominent crown at the top (new examples sold by Dill do not have this detail), as well machined twin indentations on each of the upper hexagon edges (another detail that new examples do not have).

They were recently sourced from a Los Angeles warehouse where they have been resting for 50+ years.  Three different sets are available:

1.  As is with all of the patina:

2.  Refinished in matching Yellow Zinc Chromate:

3.  Refinished in a brighter yellow (more consistent with 289 cars and some of the early 3000 series):
*** SOLD OUT ***

The untouched originals now sell as a set of four (4) for $30 + $7.50 shipping.  These have moderate amounts of patina and paint chipping, as several sets of the finer examples originally offered have all been sold.  These still look the part on any car that wants the correct "on race day" look.. I will send photographs to anyone that requests to see the exact set they will be receiving, accordingly.

Both refinished options sell as a set of four (4) for $50 + $7.50 shipping. Refinished options are very limited quantities and once they are gone that's it.

I accept Venmo, Zelle and PayPal (friends and family option only).  Please PM me for specific payment details, accordingly.

Excellent video!  I was able to see CSX3243 not too long after it was restored and being street driven.

Condolences to his family.  Jeff was a very helpful presence on many Cobra forums whether you owned an original or a replica.  He will surely be missed.  RIP, Jeff.
