All of the non-machined versions that I've seen have been from trucks 1971 and later. There was also a later version with the cast-in pinion snubber.

Is that a "Nodular" case?    O.K., the picture provides for a somewhat limited observation but, if I'm holding my head and thinking right, the ribbing doesn't seem correct for such? 

    If it actually is, Ford did reintroduce the "N" case for the 1985 F150 "H.O." trucks so 'maybe' that's a possibility?

My thoughts as well. From the angle, it doesn't appear to be a Nodular.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like it has a Nodular rear.

I would love to take a walk through a place like Turner's. I first heard of them on an episode of "Roadkill" some years ago.
I used to love going through the various "Ecology Auto Wrecking" and "Pick Your Part" yards all over the SoCal area. I've bought, sold and kept lots of treasures picked from those places. They're all pretty much useless these days, though, since the LKQ takeover. Many of the yards have closed and all the prices have gone through the roof.

Where was it restored and is the face painted on or is it a sticker?

The adapter looks a lot like the adapter used on 80's cop cars. Maybe a gasket could be found searching that option?

Thank YOU. I'm glad it arrived safely. Since it still has to travel back to Sweden, make sure to keep it packed and padded as much as possible. The sharp edges on the cast iron chip very easily. As I stated before, almost all of the ones I've seen were chipped.

They sold for $1075. When I see prices like this, I almost want to cry. Years ago (30-35) I had a set of these in a complete rearend with a "SPEC" case 3.89 gears and a traction lok. I sold the complete rearend for $400.

I understand that the "asking" price isn't necessarily the "selling" price. I'm just using it as a guide. When a dozen sellers are asking prices within a certain range, I figure it might not be far off the mark. As I stated, $250 was the low end on the pricing and all of those showed damage. The one I have is nicer than one that was claimed to be NOS and about 1/2 the price.

I have the crank pulley. This one is very hard to find and near impossible to find in this condition. The last time I looked these up on Ebay, the sellers were asking $250 and higher. Most of them had chips missing. I just checked again and didn't find any. I want $250 for this one, shipped and insured.

I have a anti-backfire valve, but I believe it has a Oct 67 date code. Would that be too early?
