The reason nobody has ever heard a Cobra horn
is that Cobras don't need to honk because nobody has
ever been in front of one.

In My view with a limited number of these cars for sale at any one time
and with the prices asked, it pays to be somewhat patient and particular but
having said that you can't predict the market and if you find a good car that is
90% of what you want buy it because you probably won't find 100%

I was not happy with the paint on this 67 Shelby so today I decided to try going over it with clay bar
using an automotive wash soap diluted with water in a spray bottle to keep the surface slippery for the clay bar.
The paint always had a rough feel to it when you ran your hand over it.  It was not hard to do and what
an amazing difference. Then buffed it with a fine finishing product and waxed.  The paint now feels slick to the touch.
I really doubted the clay bars worth but I learned something new.  The whole process improved it about 40%

Up For Auction / Re: 1970 shelby salvage

Three things:
I hope the occupants were ok
I hope they had good insurance
I hope this vin does not end up on another car

Hi All,
So I just had my 67 Shelby's hipo machined and rebuilt by a shop that did my Hertz car's engine years ago
and at that time he advised only  Brad Penn .  Now he is using Maxima high performance oil 10w40
He is a very busy full service race engine shop so i am using the Maxima. By the way Brad Penn was sold
a while back so unsure if the zinc formula is still the same , maybe that's why he changed.

Anybody want to take a guess at what it will
sell for? and how much a professional restoration would be?

I do know that if I sell my 67 GT350
it won't be where I can't put a reserve on it.

Just drove it  for the first time since installing my rebuilt Hipo
a few laps around the neighborhood ,seems great. Now just need to find
out the best GL4 gear oil to change in the 4 speed trans.

It would be wonderful and exciting if the car was ever found
with it's important sheet metal intact and S.A.A.C verified vin numbers undisturbed.
But all things considered,  the last crash was probably fatal and it went to
crusher heaven. I remember walking a junk yard in 1971 and there sat a White
68 GT500KR fastback. It's just what they did back then.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 67 hipo water pump

Hi All,
Apologies if this has been asked before, but how many impeller blades should
a Hipo 67 water pump have?
Thank you.

Sadly this example may end up at an Auction venue hyped up "believed to be" the lost
Jim Morrison car.
with the past owners to include Tooth fairy and Tinker Bell
Tinker being the one who changed the interior to parchment

All the owner of 1888 needs to do is provide the
ford Vin# to the 67 registrar , if he can't/won't do that
then he has no case.  After all who would you trust
Motortrend T.V or S.A.A.C.?
