Hi All,

Thank you for the tips.  I will try her again.  The Rain-X is a good plan B.

Hi All,

I need to replace the wiper switch, but am having difficulty disconnecting the wiring harness.  I can't seam to find any levers to pinch to release the grip.  Any suggestions?

I swear I have done in the past, but can't figure it out this time.  Coming back from a Show and Shine I went through a cloud burst with no wipers.  Good thing I was going fast enough, most the water was running off the windshield.

Thanks

I'd make the car functional, clean up and drive as is,  I'd swap in less distress parts where needed, i.e. radio, but still with patina.

Can anyone save an image of the car for the long term record? The link will expire.   I can't from work.

Thanks

Hi Brian,

Any markings on the intake? I find none on mine.  IIRC, I have heard some had BUDDY BAR markings, but I could be mistake.  I have not been able to find much info on these set ups on the internet.  Mustangtek list this set up with no markings under intake manifolds.

Hi Brain,

I am going to check the old SAI catalogs tonight and see if any tags can be seen in the period photographs.

Also, can you confirm the metering blocks on your carbs are 3563 with LIST 2882 and 3673 with LIST 2881.  Last, what are the date codes?

Thanks for sharing

Cory

Cory,
I apologize, I have the early setup, not the later setup.

Here is the carburetor numbers I have.
             List #      Metering Block      Date
Front:    2868          3563                  391
Middle:  2867           2633                 391
Back:    2868           6343                 391

Hi Brian,  Thanks for posting.  It is interesting the two 2868 carb's have different metering blocks.  Is that right?

Below is my set up.

Position   LIST No.      Metering Block     Date   Ford Part No.
Front        2882              3563                 392     C4AF9501V
Middle      2881              3672                 391     C4AF9501U
Back         2882              3563                 392     C4AF9501V

These number are consistent with a set up currently on auction.

I could not see any tags on the old Ford and SAI ads or catalogs.

Hi all,

Do you know if the Ford small block  tri-power set up came with tags?  All three carbs?  The ford part numbers are C4AF-9510-U and C4AF-9510-V.  I would like to have some tags made up, but it they did not come with tags, not need to spend the money.

Thanks

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Radiator Restoration

Hi Tusk,

Do you plan to drive the car this spring and summer?  Virginia Mustang sells a nice OEM looking radiator for near $190.  See:

http://www.virginiaclassicmustang.com/65-66-8-CYLINDER-3-ROW-RADIATOR-P1253.aspx

Then you can send your period correct radiator off for rebuild and not be in a hurry for a nicer rebuild.  A lot of these 50+ year old radiators needs some TLC before rebuilding.  The tanks can be less than perfect and need to be straighten out some.

Best of luck

Hi Kram350,

Please tell me how you located the bracket.  Did you attached the axle mount and bar and located the brackets with the suspension fully loaded and then marked the location?  Then with the car on a lift, you can place the brackets and weld?

Thanks

It will be "rare".

See you there.

I like the matching removable top to body.  My understanding is the that a black top, in general was an dealer option.  A matching top to the body paint, in general, was a factory option.

Now with a black car with a black top, without the original paper work, I believe it is indeterminate whether the top is factory or dealer option.  I could not find in the auction description if the car was original black or not.

I like the car.
