Hi all,

I am selling these Holley 4224-S carburetors.  If you can read the description and advise me if I should make any changes or error corrections, that would be appreciated.  I am not familiar with these carbs at all.  These came of the set up I posted in an earlier thread.

Hi all,

Don't be fooled.  This looks like a LoPo 289 flywheel.  Same casting number, but balanced as a LoPo at 28.2 oz imbalance.  Seller is claiming because it came with other HiPo 289 parts makes it also HiPo.  There is no  Brinell hardness test mark, typical of all HiPo flywheels.  Current bid is too high for LoPo.  What am I missing?

See attached for  an example of a Brinell hardness mark.

Take care

Cory

Hi all,

In my journey to put together a functional set for a buddy, I was able to complete with one trade and and two purchases.  In doing so, I ended up with some extra pieces.  This piece here is the later style with the leather fob on the buckle part.  The adjuster and hook have been restored with very nice chrome.  The leather fob was added with the correct style of rivets.   If you are missing a belt or have a mismatched set, this might be the one to help match your set.  I'd like $150 plus the ride.  If you are interested, please send me a message.

Thanks

Swap Meet / 3” lap buckle belt half - 1966 GT350
October 15, 2023, 05:41:59 PM
Hi Al,

I have a 3 inch lap belt half for 66 GT350 with the leather fob attached to the buckle half.  I also have a loop piece that I'm going to swap with the buckle and use the original webbing to complete a set that I'm trying to put together for a buddy. I hate to unsew the buckle if someone can use " as is"and we can make a trade of some sort for original webbing.  Please let me know what you have to trade by sending me a message. If not, I will swap the two pieces, resew, then offer the buckle for sale.

Thanks

Hi all,

I'm putting together a 428 Cobra Jet and have a windage tray for an FE.  Looking at the tray in the pan compared to an oil pan without, I'm not sure it really offers any benefit. The 428 Cobra Jet oil pan does have some internal baffling.  Also the tray looks like it could actually trap more oil above the tray, with no slope to drain oil, defeating the purpose of the tray. I'm thinking of not installing it.  Any thoughts?

Hi all,

I am looking for an oil filter adapter for a FE 352/390/427/428 with a casting date 68 with one to four dots, for January, February, March and April months.  There seam to be a lot on a popular auction site and a few near the end of 1968, but no early 1968 casting dates.  The Ford service part number is C0AZ-6881-A with part number cast into adapter C8AE-6881-A.

Please send me a message if you have one you willing to part with.  Below are some images of the casting date and part number.

Thank you

Hi all,

Does anyone know this 1966 GT350?  Is it legit?  I can see a dash mounted tach, what looks like a deluxe steering wheel, quarter windows and side scoops.  I capture this image years ago and just found again.  It was time to share.  I don't recall seeing on the forum.  Anyone?

Thanks

Hi all,

I have a pair of Western Modine Radiator side straps for 1965, 1966 Mustang Shelby GT 350 radiator. They have not been altered or modified. If you have a radiator with screwed up side straps, here's your chance to pick up a pair.  Please see images.   I'd like $50 plus the ride.  Send me a message if you're interested.

Hi all,

I have a 1965 aluminum Borg Warner T 10 side cover T10–148B.  It has a casting date molded just below the part number with a "2", four dots and 65.  I'm assuming the four dots are for April, forth month and 65 is for 1965. There's also a second "2" which I'm guessing is second shift. Any other guesses. Please see attached images.

Thank you

Hi all,

Please see attached images for original HiPo 289 Special chrome air cleaner base with large hose fitting.  It has no date code, or just a remnant of a failed date code stamping.  See image.  Also, back in the day, the base was welded on in a small spot, not sure why, other that a guess someone was experimenting on welding thin metal before another project.  There was no damage to repair where the weld was found.  The weld was smoothed out and sand blasted to blend in. There is some surface imperfections from corrosion, further authentication a 57+ year old part.  The base in painted in dark Ford Blue.  I'd like $175 plus the ride OBO.  Please send me a instant message if interested.

Thanks

Swap Meet / HiPo 289 flywheel 5C11 for trade
July 23, 2023, 11:33:48 PM
Hi, all,

I have 1965 HiPo 289 flywheel with casting number C30E-6380-B with Brinell harness mark and orange dab of paint.  The 3 key features to authenticate HiPo 289 flywheel. I recently had resurfaced and found no issues, no heat cracks. The ring gear should be flipped or a new ring gear installed.   I'd like to trade for a later date code, December 1965, January February or March 1966.  What do you have to trade?

Thank you

Hi all,

I have a parking brake warning lamp kit, part number C4DZ-15A852-A1 NOS in the box.  This kit was used on both 1965 and 66 Mustangs. If your GT350H has one and the bezel is worn out or the switch is missing, this is for you.  I'd like $250 plus the ride.  Please see attached images.
Thank you.

Hi all,

I need some guidance on removing the tail housing on a Borg Warner T 10 M1 transmission. It is leaking between the tail housing in the main case. I know there's a pin needs to be knocked out in the tail housing plus four bolts.  Do I pull the shaft out that the pin is holding in?  Also, any other suggestions?

Thanks

Hi all,

I have been tinkering with several sets of rear seat belts and noticed there are actuality two different styles of plastic covers for the body anchor plate end of the seat belts.  They both perform the same function, but are oriented differently on the anchor plate.  Any ideas why the two styles?  Maybe a form of a date code? Early vs late?

In the attached image, the two covers on the left are longer and place the cover tab under the anchor, from a belt with a date code 2366 (23rd week 1966, May-ish) (correction 1-66 date code.)

The two covers on the right shorter, place the cover tab under the bolt and does a nicer job of covering the anchor plate, from a a 1-66 date coded belt (January 1966)

Any ideas?

My first guess is a small cost savings.  The covers on the right use less material and will cost a few pennies less.

Thanks

Cory
