Title: later production 1967 Toploader (car 2386), Universal joint question
Post by: BGlover67 on June 19, 2025, 11:05:05 AM
I'm not near my car, but want to order new universal joints.  I see for the front, there are two versions, internal lock ring and external.  Being a later production car (2386), which do you think it would have?

Brian,
I doubt there is a production date change for u joints. Check with dead nuts for good
Prices on good parts. Nice to see you as a 67 owner once again.!!!

Brian,

Our cars were completed within days of each other at SAI. I can check mine for reference if you like.

Ford stopped using internal snap rings on driveshaft U joints at the end of 1966 production. 67 production would be external snap ring .
