The Shelby American (Fall 2021)

Italian restaurant again. Everyone was happy when I walked in and in- stantly returned with a stack of piz- zas. At the end of May we were back to the Cars & Coffee, leaving with 21 cars north on Rt. 83, on to Belfast Road, Yeoho Road, on to Gun Powder thru Beckleysville and Hoffmanville. There was a rest room stop at High’s Gas Station on Rt. 851, through town of Sticks and into Glen Rock. There is a concrete skeleton of a large building there called The Ruins, with all the posts and walls covered with graffiti. Then we motored through a couple of railroad tunnels, including one that required you to blow your horn before entering to warn oncoming traffic. Then through towns of Railroad and New Freedom to the Watering Hole Grill with outside dining. The SHELBY AMERICAN Fall 2021 86
