The Shelby American (Fall 2021)
man, the project manager and engi- neer responsible for the newest Bronco. He had a pre-production model on display for anyone interested in seeing an early version. The de- scription of the development was hu- morous and informative and included a lot of “ I can’t comment on future product plans ” but you could see that this will be an important vehicle for Ford. I think with the ability to build one to your own specs and the with market emphasis on Sport Utility Ve- hicles, this may be the new Mustang for the decade. Perhaps a new Carroll Shelby is waiting in the wings to breathe a little Ford racing heritage into the new Bronco. I can see why the SAAC Indiana Spring Fling has continued so long. It is in a great location with amazing cars and wonderful people. This is what a club should be like: people demonstrating a passion for cars at a great location. It was more than just cars parked in a lot for a show. It was a long drive to get there but if I had to do it over again, I would have started going years ago. We hope to be back next year and will try and bring a few friends and their cars, too. Thanks to everyone who had a role in putting this event on. We had a great time and hope to see everyone next year for the 45th. The SHELBY AMERICAN Fall 2021 100
