Wow, that's cool as Hell !!!!

Would love to own one ;D

BUT......$300K is for the Rich :-[

Yes and at that price the buyer likely wants a real 65 Shelby street car if one can be had in that range anymore. Or a Ferrari. Or Porsche GT2 or GT3RS. And so on and so forth.

One of the things that bothered Pete Brock about the R models is that he was overruled on them back when.
What the continuation car shows for "bumpers" is what apparently he wanted to do.

This is the difference between what a race mechanic/engineer wants to do and a designer like Brock. He had difficulty explaining esthetics to a bunch of skirt chasers that thought that was a case of beer and the perfumed strippers panties in their back pockets?

They didn't take him seriously with his ascot and probably shot paper clips or threw spitballs at  him when his back was turned?

Shelby on the other hand just nixed them because it would have taken money out of his share of the monthly Ford payment. So there wasn't any support anywhere for those bumpers.

I understand both sides. They both have a point. It depends on how much beer I've had and who got the panties as far as who I would side with?  :-\

Every time I slide behind the wheel I get my Ken on... After all, isn't that why they built them in the first place. ;)

I still wouldn't sneeze at the opportunity to own one had I the money. Everyone deserves to make money on their work product. I sometimes think at night about these cars 1,000 years into the future and contend that our future inhabitants will not discern these continuation cars as any lesser than the original R Models because they all will be regarded as artifacts of the far away past and will inspire equal wonderment. Or not of course. Depending on where we are headed.

Yes, that's been one of their talking/sales points since they started.

Here is their site. Interesting.

I just noticed that there are no turn signals on the front valence. That won't pass scrutiny with any Department of Transportation.  Track only?
