You my man, have did a  lot of archival and historical reading.

Didn't Auto Union compete heavily against Mercedes in racing at the time, and Fiat was a real going concern?

I believe they actually made new cars of the one streamlined Mercedes, and the one Auto union open wheel car?
The War took many great and historical automobiles.

The US was far behind the Euro countries in racing.
Without looking, the US held the first US race in 1895 I think, Chicago was the birth place.

Whats ironic about that, is I think the entries were European for the most part, plus
a snowstorm hit while the race was running. I wonder if they had wet groove tires>> ha

I think Wiki acknowledges , and most historians / scholars, that the Chicago SCCA region was the groups that Nationalized the SCCA. ?
