I wonder what happened to that Mustang Coupe's Grill Emblem?

Given that is a used car the earlier owner likely removed the grill center and bars to make it look racer or go faster

I owned 3860 decades ago and when purchased it was a very used street/drag strip car. Normal mods: scatter shield, P/S delete, Hurst shifter, Cragar wheels, smog delete, ram air cleaner delete, starter delay delete, aluminum intake manifold, replaced carb; BUT the front plate bracket was there as the car was originally sold in New Jersey. Hard to see in the before pictures and was not reinstalled afterwards. It also had the original spare tire.
