Raffles have tax consequences.

That looks like a good car to have won and not bought.

Have you seen the tires size 245-50-R14.  I'm not sure how these are not a problem with clearance.

This is very cool.  I have never seen the invoices for a HERTZ return to Ford for cleaning up and refurb.  6S1213 is on the summary sheet in the middle with the Fuller Ford and Ted's invoice on either side.

Guy who won the car was floating around to all the usual suspects immediately after getting the car.

Love the color combo...

The walk-around video in the auction is gold. "Everything about this is special". Yep, no doubtttttttt

Is the Shelby vin on the passenger side?
Is that the correct hood style for this car?

I knew a guy who placed high end prizes in game shows the stuff over 10 grand - yep a SoCal specific job if there was ever one. He said that all prizes were taxable at the retail value but the high end ones like cars and boats could be pro rated over the expected life of the product or until you sold it. This was in the 80s I'm certain .gov has gotten greedier since. If they valued it at $250,000 that would bump your income 25 grand a year for the the next 10 years and be manageable.
Another thing that was interesting was the shows bought insurance policies that paid off if someone won the big prize (car/boat/cruise} and the manufactures paid them normal ad rates for the time their prize was on the screen or being talked about. All the smaller stuff was free from the manufacturers for the ad time.

The tires look cool but the clearance between the inner rubber and the leaf springs in the rear looks razor thin.

Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Style - Fiberglass with steel frame- Yes like majority of 66's.

This particular hood and details - No IMO based on the pictures unless there has been some filling that would not have been done originally.
