1968 GT500KR seal for the air intake to hood

I have seen this one and I would like to know if this is the original part for a GT500KR and how I can see it.

The guy claims its from a GT500KR I also thought thats not how they came. I remember them as a normal black seal with no edges like on this.

Other Ford applications.I have seen them for sale before and always with a Shelby story.  I didn't bother researching it because since it wasn't Shelby I didn't care. What with the Shelby story attached they were always too expensive as a non Shelby part anyway.

Nobody here got an idea where it could be from? I have seen the Cobra Jet ones but never this one.
