Noob carburetor questions...

Can someone please identify this carb, and does it look like all of it's parts are intact? Am I missing the idle up solenoid? It's currently on my 69 GT500...

Looks like (according to the air horn) the main body is a C9AF-9510-N. These were used originally on 69 428 Mustangs & GT500's equipped with automatic transmissions.

For your application, yes you are missing the idle solenoid, the factory fuel filter and of course the supply line is some aftermarket or made up piece. Looks like someone rattle can finished the carb at some point.

Forget the obvious missing parts, you need to know what is out of specifications on the inside.

In conclusion the carb appears to be missing minimal parts (available at NPD or Mansfield Mustang) and it is correct for your auto 69 GT500.

It looks like the hollow stud has been deleted also.

electric solinoid was only used on 70 cj  mustang cougars cars marked ac. and ad and used manual chokes.

Thanks everyone!! Very helpful. I am actually entertaining replacing this carb altogether. It seems the adjustment screws are somewhat loose and maybe not staying set causing the carb to underperform and need regular adjustment. Will be looking at the jets as well...

A typo no doubt. No electric solenoid on 69/70 Shelby.

It seems the adjustment screws are somewhat loose and maybe not staying set . . . . .

    If this is in reference to the "idle adjustment screws", the restriction in rotation (and sealing) is maintained by simple cork packings that press into the recessed bores and that the idle mixture screws thread through.

Poor choice of words    fell into the "trap"  since the OP used the term. Agreed a non-electrical Dashpot mlike used in 66 for example on many automatics
