Little history on the last owners after Bowman mentioned. I assume they are the sellers.
Came to Germany in 2005 and later given to the buyers sister Elena Ellerbrock. The Ellerbrock raced it at famous racetracks.
2013 at the Ring.
(Exhaust was occasionally adapted to track noise requirements as far as I heard, but from other sources, this below pictured one could be also the "racing clone" to prevent damaging the original in their ownership)

Yes they runned a clone in the TOUR DE FRANCE AUTO for exemple :

Jim Wallace street-driving a Cobra Daytona on the Santa Ana Fwy -during rush hour no less- was truly a sight to behold.
Petersen/Wilshire to Pacific Stereo Anaheim where we held our COCOA meetings was not for the feint of heart! Musta have been 1975 or 1976 best I can recall.

Time period is right but it was at Petersen's Motorama museum (his first museum attempt) just west of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The grand opening was a parade of cars and a top fuel burnout on Hwood Blvd by Tony Nancy.

Wonder a bit how to differentiate the clone from the real thing. I can not for sure.
Could be the auction video also shows the clone?
Here is the one that raced 2015 by the Ellerbrocks at the AVD/OGP at the ring.
I have no close up of the tag, but the tag in the video looks "similar" :-)
Or the Ellerbrocks raced the real thing at the Ring. Who knows?

Get Pete Brock within a mile of it. I'm amazed at the distance he's able to identify each original Coupe by the subtleties of each hand crafted body.
The foil tags look like they have the FIA logo on them. I don't know if they were used in period but new builds require an FIA inspection and certification that it conforms to the original specs.

Ultimately, the unfinished Type 65 Daytona Super Coupe was sold as part of a package deal when Shelby American was liquidated. After being purchased by a Kansas collector, master fabricator Mike Dopudja completed the project with guidance from Peter Brock Unveiled at Riverside Vintage Races in 1981, it was driven on numerous occasions.
The 427 Daytona Super Coupe was later purchased by George Stauffer who continued to refine the car to the exacting standards of Brock's original specifications. Since this time, it has received a comprehensive restoration.
George also owned the Mega Buck Pantera. Built as only a show car that could drive he actually did put it on the street. He swapped out the nixie tube gauges for analog type which was not an easy feat since every inch of wire in the car was red.
