SAAC will have a display booth at the upcoming Mecum Auctions in Indianapolis.

We will be there to promote the club and all that we do for the hobby and we will be there on the two key days when most of the Shelby marques cross the block... that would be Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16.

I will be manning the booth and could use a little assistance. If there is any member who is not going to the Indiana SAAC Spring Fling and will be available on Friday or Saturday, drop me a message of when you're available to help.

I need some coverage for food and bathroom breaks. I'll get you credentials for free admission to the event. If you'd like to spend even as little as a few hours on either day to help, drop me an email to pitcrew@saac.com and we can discuss.

Thanks
Ron

Yes the 70 RARE mercury drag pack cougar xr7 ram air hurst 4-speed convertible will be there as we been correcting the car after a long florida restoration and like usual its always finding the correct parts and detailing to be concours  correct done to fuller rare  1970 mercury  dowa dual exhaust system. This car now has nos tires ,all autolite filters .original headlights ,  dowy autolite shocks,16'' trico nos wiper blades, all paperwork etc etc. Also we been correcting the RARE 70 shelby gt350 grabber orange with factory red interior a 1 of 1 car from oregon OO as this car is the oddest unique color combination shelby ever made and very KOOL looking being a 70 orange black hood stripes with black ford louvers that have been on the car from back in the day. Ron i think this unique odd shelby needs to be in the SAAC booth at indy mecum what u think?

We will be in the West Pavilion.

I asked and was told there is no space for us to have a vehicle for display in the area we are located.

Ok we just wanted to display this unique shelby now that we  recently finished most of the corrections from when it sold at mecum last year after gas monkey bought it out in oregon from the OO. Mecum posted all the old photos from last may auction and just recently posted some of the new photos after we recently fixed some of the OO changes. I have verified thru vinman that this is the only red interior shelby build painted grabber orange and just got the paperwork from marti and the pink order sheet shows marked out 1969 with 1970 wrote above it like i seen before on 70 KK converted shelbys and orderd M white then marked over and grabber orange wrote under it and in the interior section wrote under white black hand written RED since red was a late color option it never got on the order sheet so was this car painted this way by mistake or a test bed for fords new color combos and wasnt sold in 69 so changed over to a 70 shelby we just dont know and i havent had any contact with the OO but his name is wrote in the original owners manual. This is a great rust free original shelby with all paperwork and original tags including original carb engine trans rear tag with a build sheet. We didnt change out the mustang marked radio since its am/fm but got the original ford radio in the trunk. thanks
