Not that it's any of our business but wonder what the cash out value to the owner was?

I'm guessing the previous owner must have had a "really big" declared value on the insurance policy and just decided to take the money and run?   :-\

Maybe the damage is all underneath?
Doesn't look like any flood damage or biohazard either.
In a long ago previous life, I was a insurance claims adjuster. Rule of thumb back in the 1980's was 75% of the actual cash value (ACV).
Maybe Tim L. will come along and give a guesstimate for repairs in his shop?

So totaling the car used to be 70% but nowadays it's more like 50%. Figure the cost repair is way less than that so my hunch is it's a recovered theft that the insurance company paid out on as total loss and then the car was recovered later and went to the insurance company.

TLea

Not sure why they assigned a salvage title to it other than possibly flood damage

Current is at $28,250.  Stated estimated retail value:$155,00.  Is that restored or in current messed up condition?
Just nuts.

Last time I heard of this happening (on a Pantera after Hurricane Sandy, also Co-part), it was due to some bidders not being able to be confirmed (financially). Stop the auction, remove all the bids, restart the auction.
Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.
