18% plus a mandatory 9.75% sales tax to CA and removal in 4 days per the fine print. I had no idea state taxes in CA were that high- a bit crazy getting a fee up near 30% and then my state would still require I pay another 6+% to them and shipping. I wouldn't mind getting a 68 project but I'm realizing this isn't the one for me. This may be good for someone in CA with a CA dealer license to get it out the door cheaper.   

Total rates can increase up to 10.25% or higher in some cities and counties due to local voter-approved district taxes.
It doesn't appear that the seller has a car dealer license. If they did and the car was shipped out of state without its tires touching a public road they sales tax would not have to be paid. If I bought a car in your state and paid the 6% tax CA would still collect another 4% when it was registered here. Anyone with a sellers permit in CA should be able to delay the collection of the tax. BTW CA even wants you to get a permit and collect tax at swap meets, unless making only occasional sales (twice or less per year).
