"Barn Find", aka., just another abandoned old vehicle that's in ruff shape and looks it!  ;)

I find it absolutely amazing, that this 'yarn' of declaring something a "Barn Find", which has been nurtured and now provides an enhanced value, that of which 'actually' is nothing more than obvious neglect, this with the intention for sellers to reap a greater monetary gain without the investment of time, effort or expense required to 'actually' enhance the condition state (not even a wash job!  ::) ) and value, . . . . . and the buying public is swallowing this B.S. "hook line and sinker"!   :o

    Scott.

A point well made

"Barn find" should not be a plus.

You know...

You're laughing at "barn finds"...

But when you drive by one in the country and the door is open and there's old vehicles inside do you slow down?

I was told that a guy had a tired old 66 GT 350 in his barn..
The guy that told me was mistaken.

It was a 65 GT 350

Just sayin'

I thought this was an AO Smith silo......
I can imagine how that meeting went. Hey we gotta shut down the water heater line. Ford wants us to make some plastic parts like our Corvette ones and slap them on Mustangs.

How about a "barn find" AO Smith emblem.

Maybe but our cows are happier. At least that is what the stated paid $33 Million dollars telling us.

For the full effect some sell the barn find dirt, mouse/rat droppings, original air in the spare tire and parade it around to the BIG SHOWS in Texas, then ask a premium for AS FOUND CONDITION! I think that ship has sailed possibly.

At a past National SAAC Convention dinner program, Carroll Shelby was speaking at the podium, and he described someone (a past Shelby driver or Company staff?) in this manner: "Why, he couldn't drive a wheelbarrow through an open barn door!"

Does anyone else remember this, and which (year) National SAAC convention?

Are cloned barns allowed for speculation?  Will there be a TAB (Try A Barn) site?  The mind wanders at this age.  Sorry.
Just nuts.

All the wax companies seem to sell detail kits. Maybe there is a market for a barn find kit. You could even include a barn background someone could green screen their "find" into. Don't forget to include the Lucas smoke for that Cobra barn find.
