Question for the collective

I belong to several forums as do a lot of you. And I see a number of people on each of them that only come to the forums to use the forums for their own good. IE, to buy, sell or ask for information. But never give anything back to the collective, only use it. It pis*** me off, and I was wondering how others felt?

If it starts it's streetable.
Overkill is just enough.

That's the basic reason, I stopped proffering technical information, on an open format. And another,
pi** you off item, is the rebuke, from the trolls, that say you are wrong.

Most technical information is readily available from various sources, so, I have deduced, they are too
lazy to look up information for themselves.

we had a tech section in  forum 1.0       it could be  behind  the members only  side of the forum ......  but  every time it was brought up  i was told we dont need that .
Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

The "Vintage Shelby Related Literature and Collectibles" section was supposed to resurface and be readily available again but that hasn't happened as of yet.  Too bad.

I don't see it on the home page under "The History" main section.   Also not in my settings showing the list of boards.

I rarely contribute as their are so many more people who can answer a question with 100% certainty when I am only 95% certain. Every now and then ill send a pic in to possibly be submitted to the magazine (Shelby Americana) so I do try to contribute in even a small way if I can.  I am on here a lot more now, now that a lot of the silliness is gone so who knows, maybe Ill see something I can confidently chime in on.

I don't think I would ever complain about the sharing of information here on this Fourm.

Over the years there have been a lot of guys who have provided information to me when I needed a little help. I was always most appreciative for any of all opinions and information shared, and I made sure I relayed that sentiment. On the few occasions that I could share something to help or confirm information as it related to their Shelby life experience, I was only glad to be a part of the membership.

I personally do not mind those that use the forum for classifieds, I've been able to source difficult to find bits over the years here and other forums over the years.  Not many sources to find some of the more unique items.
