cleaning out garage and came upon this.
what is the application?

Sealed Power high volume small block pump (you can tell its high volume by the length of the casting as high volume pumps have longer gears thus needing a 'taller' casting compared to a standard and or high pressure pump).

Sealed Power part number 224-41128

I believe the 11/83 is month and year.

Its worth what someone will give you but in general you can buy the pump brand new today for about $80.

I don't think it has any historical value IMHO if that is what you are asking.

+1 . It is not typical that a engine builder would use a used oil pump.
