When ad states - appears, suggests, from original parts, stories have been shared, individuals no longer with us, without assertion or conclusion I bet most people will be extremely cautious.

You need hip boots to wade through the BS in that ad. It was Jefferies and Remington who went to use Ford's wind tunnel to create the MKIV.

"These accounts are presented here as part of the car's long-standing narrative, without assertion or conclusion." = legalese for buyer beware or we know it's all BS but hope you'll be the sucker that buys this.

Hi all,
First off why would you use e-bay ?
Second IF this is really the car Dean Jeffries did own-he was planning to run a 256 cammer, and had it in place at one point. Would really like an opinion from Ronnie Spain and Harley Cluxton. Real
Million dollar question is how it is on paper? The title should show or expose reality.
In this price range hopefully any potential buyer will do their homework.
Going to be interesting to follow.

Ebay doesn't have the running commentary. I'm guessing thats the reason for the decision

I'm pretty sure Dana Mecum owns the Jefferies car. It was "restored" to pre Jefferies as when it ran LeMans. I always thought it would bring a higher price with the subtle Jefferies changes than a "regular" run of the mill GT40.
It's dumb to try and confuse this creation with 109 which has ZERO questions about its pedigree. Ford sold it to Jefferies (who had it 46 years) and then it was sold after his death in 2013.

That should be a eight million dollar car at minimum if it is one of the prototype roadsters. Needs more closeup photos of the chassis, like to know who built the tub.

Road Reptile

Hi to all,
After re reading this (with boots on) They don't really claim a number. One picture shows a White
Car with a cammer in it in a photo album and I doubt it is this car. G.T. 109 Was owned by Mecum
And restored to it's Le Mans time frame....won awards every time displayed. It should not be a big
Shock that the car advertised is/has been constructed from a spare tub and has no "history" that would be the case as it seems presented. The roadster body and the cammer engine were replaced early  in production. Hope somebody is able to keep track of where this  car ends up.

There were no "spare" tubs. All the chassis that were assembled by FAV got a serial number.

Road Reptile

Hi all,
Would like to know where the parts/car came from to create G.T.101 Which is apparently in France.
In pictures it looks much nicer than the car on e-bay. Someone spent serious dollars. Good thing we have registrars to keep track of this stuff.

Could be the one built by Gelscoe.
