Can someone provide a picture of where the antenna bracket should mount and the length of of the bracket? Mine is missing and have seen them mounted in differs spots on the wheelhouse and the angle varies.  Thanks.....

That is because the antenna was mounted in different spots and at different angles. It was mounted at the discretion of the dealership service staff doing the prep work on the individual cars. Mount the antenna straight up or at a backward angle. Knowledgeable Shelby enthusiasts will not give it a second thought. The preferred mount of the lower strap is at the factory hole at the base of the wheelhouse. Some dealership service people made their own hole. The tube strap mounted on the antenna tube should be mounted low for the best stability. The distance between the wheelhouse mounting and the strap on the antenna dictate how long to make strap with the holes in it.Hardware is typically stove slotted bolt and square nut.

Thanks for the detailed response. That explains why I've seen so many different setups.

I don't have the correct antenna so I'm not sure if the original parts will fit. The post on my antenna is 3/4" diameter. There is a Phillips screw into the inner wheelhouse where I assume the original bracket was held. Let me know if parts will fit and how much .

This is a example of a different attachment point on the wheelhouse. For the best stability the straight strap should be as parallel with the floor as possible. This example and its wheelhouse attachment point makes it necessary for the tube strap to be position higher up on the antenna tube to maintain the best stability. Just one of many possible trunk side installs.

I would also mention that the tube length sometimes varied a small amount which may effect the angle on which it can be installed. If the tube is longer then it has to be installed at a rear leaning angle because it comes in contact with the floor mat before the mast can be installed straight up. The slightly shorter tube allows the antenna to be installed ether straight up or rear angled. I have seen some people that have made a hole in the trunk mat and card board shelf so as to install it straight. It is very unlikely IMO that a installing dealership would go to that trouble and instead simple lean the mast rearward. I personally prefer the straight up look but that is just me. Ether way is acceptable. With that said if need be a longer tube can be easily slightly shortened with a electrical conduit tube cutter. The crimp on the bottom can be replicated by cradling the bottom half of the tube while carefully using a small punch or flat screw driver to hammer a crease (the crimp) in the top half . The same thing is done for the bottom half of the tube to complete the crimp.

Jimhyc,  I got a strap and clamp from Ed a few months back.  The clamp fits 3/4 diameter.  Incidentally 3/4 is the diameter of the pm300 antenna that i have.
