Some cars go up, some go down - year to year it's constantly changing. Last year a KR fastback got 490K...nothing like that in 2026..I'm sure eventually there will be another in 5,10,20 years to break the record?....It's a waste of time to speculate on why. As a Monday morning quarterback I always win my football games!  ;) I can almost guarantee next year one of those low bid cars will get more...40 years in this hobby gives you that perspective.  Just remember every seller's car of interest is the "best" and every buyer's car of interest "is too expensive"...not all you think or are told is necessarily the case when it comes to 60 year old machines!

I was there and hung out with some friends on the forum.   several deals were had, the 68 krs were a little weak, black ac auto, very nice car, it had some easy to swap back "upgrades" like 4 wheel discs and efi  a red 4 speed etc.   My bigger surprise was almost no premium for really correct concours cars, I am no expert but several went through with judging documentation.   Over restored correct looking cars pulled the same or more money.   and the delta between a driver unrestored car (that functions but needs everything) was only like 20%  Like 20-50k  so much better off buying a nice done car.  The 65s came out of the woodwork and everyone was hoping for close to a mil like the one that sold last year and most did not sell.

the 69 black jade scj pulled great numbers the owner was super friendly and outgoing and was by his car from friday on you could tell he was meticulous in caring for it, he said he put it on his 4 post and cleaned it after every drive and I believe him!  It was an example of a correct but over restored, as in beautiful paint arrow straight panels .  I was a little dubious at first because some body panel date codes were smoothed over in the paint process (I did find some legit codes, so no question in my mind it was the original body)  but just an example of a great seller that shared his passion with the people that came and looked at it and he was in a tent in the back.

not an expert here but that was my impression

Was fun watching them go across the block and good to be able to "rewind" the live feed if missed in real time.
I thoughts the 67s did exceptionally well.

Thanks for putting the list together.  Takes a lot of effort/dedication.

Seems that Scottsdale showed different results were a new world record for a 66 GT3550 automatic was set by a car that won top honors in Div II at the last SAAC convention - 6S1618.

Congrads of course and great to see owners and builders rewarded for the extra efforts and dedication.
