Has anyone ever reached out to Jim Morrison's sister in Santa Barbara?  To see when she received all of Jim's items from  the girl friends family that maybe the original title was in with all the items that she is storing.

She is 78 now and running everything for Jim's memory. The girlfriend passed in 1974.

Fantastic idea !

I thought so and just sent a letter asking for a picture if she has it. That SAAC would be interested in keeping his memory alive.  Would be great for Vincent to have in his archives. Crossing fingers she replies and able to find it. Worth a shot.

Yes indeed, keep us informed of your findings. This could be a great revelation  to all.

Like the crazy lady with the Daytona Coupe she probably gets contacted a few times a year by car hunters. Maybe more often since she's not hiding. The title would have gone with the car to the dealer and the dealer would turn it in to DMV for a one to be issued with the new owners name on it. If it was financed the title would be sent to the lien holder who would be noted as the legal owner. If the car was junked the title is surrendered by the junkyard to DMV. There is at least one old registration floating around. That has zero value as to car disposition, current ownership, etc.
