Does anybody have an older catalog from Accel that would have detailed information on the Accel 35000 series distributors? Looking for exploded views, parts lists etc.

Thank you
John

John, I do have one or two old Accel catalogs, and I will try and find them and let you know.

Roy, Thank you that would be excellent!

Accel is now owned by Holley. They've got a good archive of instruction sheets on SOME of their lines. Accel doesn't appear to be one of them. If you search 35000 in their new catalog it'll show the parts they still offer for that series.

Accel made some of the best components for ignition then got sold to the giant company. It's really hard to find information on their products....so I am going to go through old school catalogs so I can make the new project work.

Holley also owns Mallory so you can guess where they put their main efforts. I'd be surprised if the new products didn't share a lot of the same components.

The 93 catalog I have just lists a cap (120323) and rotor (130316). No diagrams or parts list. When I worked (90-99) for Echlin (parent company of Accel back then) everything was 37/43/45/46000 series distributors, we had no 35000/ BEI stuff.

I have an accel distributor in my 427. It is a 30200. The tag on the side lists, contacts 110129,condenser 100107, Cap 120123,rotor 130316. I also have a mr gasket street spark, it looks similar. The cap and rotor are 1961 corvette, the points are 2 Chrysler v8 points, but not dual points, 2 single v8 sets. condenser, dont know.

When I ran an Accel distributor on my small block 289 I discovered the points, condenser and the cap and rotor fit GM parts exactly. The Accel cap and rotor were molded in tan plastic. Other than the black plastic the cap and rotor were identical.

Thank you guy very much, I appreciate the information you guys have shared. My main question regarding the 35000 Series Accel distributor is because it is a light triggered BEI unit that is good to 10,000 RPM with +/- .25° accuracy. Am I running this engine to 10,000 RPM? No however I will be shifting it at 8,000 RPM.. unfortunately parts and instructions for the Accel 35000 series distributors are a bit of a hunt, not Unicorn level but people who have this stuff typically hold onto it.

John,

I have the instructions for the 39000 series for the BEI II and dual point 37000 series. I have 2 37201T (T for tach drive series) one with a cast iron gear and one with bronze gear for steel cam shafts that has a FoMoCo oval stamp on the lower body. (289/302 & BOSS302 applications) I also have 3 different flavors of upper trigger units; points, Pertronx and electronic BEI type Lazer II. One unit I disguised with "Autolite" just for kicks. I even have a Jones tach with "Bud Moore Eng." logo on the face.
I'm unfamiliar with the 35000 series. I know Accel went from 32000 to the 37000 series.I can email you any page of the instructions. Let me know.

Cheers,
 ~Earl J

Thank you very much! That is exactly what I'm looking for. I also have a 37000 series dual point tach drive distributor and a 39000 series BEI distributor that I am in the process of going through. I also have an Accel 30201 dual point. I have parts of the 35202T series distributor which is slightly smaller in diameter and uses a smaller cap. I am looking at grafting the distributor below the advance mechanism to an offset distributor lower housing. All of that obviously is not for just one engine. In addition I have none of the Accel literature, so you can see why I love your response.

I would love to have a copy of the complete manual in your picture! I'll send you my email address. Thank you!
