Good afternoon,

I just had a conversation with a colleague who I work with in the healthcare industry.  Long story short, he saw an elderly female client today in her home.  During the visit, she claimed that she still owns an original 289 Cobra which she bought new.  Owner lives in the Upper Valley Region of New Hampshire.

Does anyone know of this car?

Thanks!

Terry H.

We are currently aware of two 289 Cobras in the state of NH, both of which have had multiple owners. If the  car described actually exists, it's hard to imagine how it has escaped scrutiny for the past 50 years.

Are you sure she didn't mean she was the original owner of a Factory Five Cobra that she bought new?  Lol.

Careful with specifics. An elderly woman with a valuable asset in her garage could be a lucrative target. And as our scammers prove, not all viewers of this site are honest.

My thoughts exactly Ned.  If and when I'm able to verify any of this, I'll be back in touch.  Much appreciated.

Dan, we know of a green 427 in NH and two red, one blue, and one green one in MA. What color was the car you saw?

I bought a 65 Shelby awhile back from a guy....
And under the car cover was a 289 Cobra just sitting there...

He had bought the GT 350 in 1969 ....
