$15,000 CAD - 1968 Shelby GT 500 428 Police Interceptor Engine

4.13 + 0.030 Bore, 1U428 Crank w/ .010 Mains and Std. Rods. C80E 6080 N 16 Bolt EX. Cylinder Heads (Cobra Jet) with Stellite exhaust valve seats for premium unleaded fuel. C6ME-A Block with 6C24 date code. TRW pistons 2303. Balanced rotating assembly and professionally built. Factory exhaust: C80E 9430O passenger side, C80E 9431B driver side. aluminum Edelbrock parts (F427 intake manifold and Edelbrock water pump) reduces engine weight by 100LBS.

New Autolite DOZF AB Holley 735 CFM carb, new Autolite electronic distributor with factory wires, coil, and harness with Duraspark ignition box.
Camshaft is USA made, Ultradyne hydraulic for '428 street car wanting increased power without sacrificing economy'. 276°/276° duration, 110° lobe separation, .533/.533 lift .221/.221 duration @ .050 resulting in a high, flat, broad torque curve.
Engine break in and dyno turn done by K&S Machine in Kelowna. No oil leaks and confirmed good build, ready for install. DYNO printout in pics.

1966 casting with a 352 and 16 on the rear of the block. The engine was originally in a 1968 RCMP highway patrol car.  The carb is an NOS Ford 735 cfm Holley carb with DOZF-9519-AB  List-4514-1  902  stamp on the airhorn. Not a U carb.  The builder was Ken at Enjoy Machine in Smithers.  Very experienced so I had him build this engine for my 1968 Mustang FB project. I accessed a 427 side oiler in the meantime  and had Ken build that as well. It ended up in the car instead. I have decided to sell the 428 so I had the K&S in Kelowna do the dynamometer run to ensure proper break in, evaluate performance, check for leaks and perform a tune up. All criteria have been met and the engine is ready to install into a project vehicle. I utilized the Edelbrock parts to reduce engine weight by 100 lbs. . The NOS Ford distributor is an electronic Duraspark unit specifically for the FE motor. The engine is not a numbers matching factory setup but it combines the best of parts available for a restomod as originally intended by me.

Those are not C8AE H heads, those are C8OE 6090 N heads and are Cobra jet, where the others are not.
