My Classic Car Policy with Parish Heacock Almost Doubled

I've been with Heacock for ~25 years. When I renewed in March the premium had increased 38%, at least part of that was due to increasing the annual mileage from 1,000 to 3,000. Still carried by American Modern when I renewed.

I ended up dropping Heacock, working through my agent and friend, who went to South and Western out of Addison, Texas. The underwriter is American Modern, who was the underwriter for Heacock before they switched. I raised a couple of car's value by a total of $40k. My total increased 30% from last year. Better than Heacock's 100% increase. PM me if anyone wants my local agent's contact information. He's a Chevy guy, but he's ok.

I've been with Parish Heacock for about 35 years (before Bill Parish joined the firm).  Bill Parish was a friend of mine where we both grew up in Nashville, TN. He passed away much too soon). This year, our policy went up 3%.

I just received my non-renewal letter from Heacock Classic/American Modern.  No reason given for the termination.  I've been with them for 20 years or so and never had a claim.

Car is registered in Florida, but stays year-round in Pennsylvania.  I'm trying to find a broker/agent out of Florida that underwrites with American Modern.

Mine didn't cancel.   But the policy didn't have the MCA discount.  And was up, IIRC, about 10 percent.   I called, got a very nice person on the phone and she applied the discount and sent me new emails to link and sign.  I guess I was looking at the prior emails and signed stuff.  A week latter she let me know I'd NOT signed.

Here is the company I use.  Changed from the other years ago back in 2019.  I can say I'm very pleased with policy cost communications and coverage.  Have had my Shelby's with them, Ford GT and classic Mustangs

FYI , Heacock just canceled me , 4 cars and a trailer with them 15years no claims. No reason given ....

Gotta cover the CA fire losses. My Haggerty went up about 5% when I renewed just before the fires. I can't wait to see what next year brings. With the 7% rate increase cap that is CA law I suspect that Haggerty won't offer renewals in CA.

UPDATE: Bought this last Friday. 7-8 months left on Haggerty policy. Cost to insure for remaining time $14 - with 3 car discount.

If only they filled there hydrants with water, did conservation and did controlled burning to prevent fires....
