Fan shroud differences

I have a 66 GT 350 Hertz and working on detailing the engine bay area. Pulled the radiator and fan shroud to start cleaning and repaint and did a comparison with two other shrouds I have. The first photo shows all three together with the original on the right with the mounting tabs attached. Noticed the one in the middle which I believe is NOS from a large number of parts I purchased has a thicker bottom edge as shown in the side-by-side photos. Are these differences from production changes?

Question,

Restore the original or use the second shroud since it is in perfect condition and ready to install?

What would the third shroud be used for?

Does the middle one have the rubber stapled on pad?

My understanding is the pads with staples were on the shroud when it was painted.
