The OD of the non-vented gas cap is 2 1/4".  The OD of the inner ring of the gas cap is 1 3/8".

That gas cap is for the CA only evaporative system gas cap that has a smaller filler neck opening then a typical 69/70 Shelby. It will not fit a typical Shelby only the CA system equipped Shelby
