Different sequencers can be hidden in the factory sequencer box and if done properly can be made to pass judging inspection.

Would a judge normally check the internals of the sequencer box for originality? I would think the brightness and speed of the LED's would be a sure give away.

I have a Cadillac which I ocasionaly bring to the CLC meets. Every time I have attended the judges do ask that you turn on turn signals, brakes, wipers and so on. The car next to mine lost points for an incorrect hose clamp. I have not seen anyone with LED tail lights being judged but I know I could tell LED's from incandescent.
