Larry Zane could have used her. When he restored 5R001 he said he spent a lot of money getting the hood straight. Afterwards he noted that it was bowed in every photo and was probably left (or made) that way to vent high pressure air out of the engine compartment.

I checked all my catalogs and do not see this Shelby hood straightening kit listed.  Was provided it through the Shelby shop. A.O Smith or the dealer? 8)

In truth 1969 sales fell flat because this optional hood ornament was deleted from the accessory list..........
