This could be.... a great opportunity for someone.... the holy grail car !

The seller and the previous owner think this is a real GT350-R whose identity was erased and replaced by one that's rather mundane.

If it was in Florida, the first thing I would do is contact FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) to do a VIN Search on the Car and look for the Hidden VIN.  He, as the owner, should get some Paint Striper and remove the Paint from the Top of the Inner Fender to see if in fact the Stamped VIN was cut off and a different one was welded in its place.

On a different note, we know SAI built non "K" Coupes for Racing in 65?, 66 & 67, did SAI ever build any non "K" Fastbacks for Racing in 65?

No - Larry Zane said that the Donahue car 105 (which he owned at the time) had been rebuilt on a new T (6 cyl) fastback bought at a local dealer.

From an earlier post on the car....
The Donahue car is hard to keep up with. Registry says 5r105 was "lightened up" so much in '65 they had to replace it with a "body in white" for the start of the '66 season. (Was that even a thing back in the mid 60's. I've never hear that term used on anything other than the 2008 and up Cobra Jets powered cars.. These were not the 50 produced each year.) I'm thinking the 6 cylinder car might be this same replacement.

Then when it was sold to Yale Kneeland for the '67 season. A wreck forced them to replace the car's front clip. Later at Marlboro on July 16th, it was rolled in practice. Parts were swapped onto a Hertz rental for the race and removed afterwards. Was that the end of this cars race history? I have to wonder how much of the current car is really 5r105?

SO, in reality, 5r105 is actually an "Air Car", a regular Fastback with some real Shelby Parts?

Also, I believe it was in 1994, Ford would sell "Body's in White" to Dealers which resold them to people building Track Cars.  I remember them starting at about $8,995 and all it was, was just the bare Body.

Yes the Shelby VIN tag exists and it is on a restored car. Period reports and previous owners indicate how little of 105 is left from when it departed SA.

Since matter can neither be created nor destroyed, it exists somewhere else, neither here nor there, and not necessarily as a cohesive whole but rather in sub atomic particles scattered across the globe.
