On the last update or adventure on one of our Three Musketeers we had stated that we found an original C4 transmision for our Hertz Cult Car.

This transmission was taken out and has sat for years in a garage. It was out of Hertz car #XYZ that was converted into a row row your boat manual transmission in a effort to make it faster and of course "more interesting to drive"

Question ?

Why do 99% of all automatic Mustangs have the transmissions lines cut and spliced?

We don't know , but we purchased new lines for our butchered lines.

On our journey to the Magic City of Opalocka Floridaland for the rebuild of the old but new to us C4 transmision, we met this precious little import.

Believe it or not its paint, tires, wheels, hydraulics and other modifications put it at nice $100k more than the car itself.

If you ever have time you should take your family through lovely Opalocka to enjoy its distinct and quaint charm

Well if you know me then you know we dont do anything half-donkey

Currently you have a nice running no issues automatic mustang.

Why mess with some old transmision that's been in someone's garage for who know how long 10-15-20 years ?

Why ?

Because it came of a Hertz Shelby Cult Car that was converted to a manual stick shift transmission and your cars (they say) transmission is not the correct automatic transmission.

So let's make everyone happy and return their "JOY" by installing the correct type C4 back into your Hertzmobile.

So you drop of your Cult Car off, take a number and patiently wait your turn.

You order a complete transmission rebuild kit and new converter, then you wait some more.

These parts must have come from the middle east via a camel and everyone knows that camels are very slow swimmers....

You order a trans go shift kit, even though your "transmision specialist" tell you its not required.

That if you install this shift kit , the shifts will be very hard.

The "transmission specialists" has never seen you row-row-rowing your manual transmission on your other cars, hard shift's ...lmao

So with ALL the 50 holidays in the way, slow camels delivering the parts, etc this is what was ordered and eventually came.

The rebuild kit includes all of the High Performance Red Raybestos Friction Plates, Kolene Steel Clutch Plates, Sealing Rings, Metal Clad Seals, Gaskets, Orings & Rubber Piston Seals, Modulator, Filter, Band, complete Bushing Kit, New Converter.

One shift (hard lmao) kit for a 1966 C4

A few gallons of the B & M fluid..yummy!

One last comment if you know Miami, then you know that in the months of November December and January everyone stops working in our community.

It's like siesta time for months until next year on the Three Kings Day.

You know thinking about this, it was probably one of those camels that brought the parts.....Muchas Felicidades y Prospero Año Nuevo!
