So you are wanting to know the color and or location for the power wires to the pod lights, correct?

Here are a couple images of how the gauges install, diagrams and photos.

I don't remember if your car is a GT350 or GT500, they route through the firewall a bit differently and also a variation on early vs later on the GT350 through the fire wall, more images.

and a variation on the amp wire junction next to the starter solenoid, early Shelby's vs a little bit later gray (aircraft) vs Black Ford/Lincoln part.

And a variation on if the amp gauge wires in the engine compartment were both red (Very few - very early), most (99.9%) were a red and a black, and if they were partially wrapped with a off-white spiral wrap" or black tape wrapped or in a black plastic sheath, there were also two zip ties holding them to the passenger side export brace and later a plastic clip/support that snapped into a hole in the side/top of the shock tower - that is a brief summary of some of your question,

more... routing through the Ford factory choke hole, with the choke cable on GT350;='s later they got an additional hole punched by Shelby workers.  Since the GT500 did not have a choke cable the wires went through the choke cable hole - in all cases the oil pressure line went through the same hole as the amp wires.

Thanks. Looking for the under dash wires that connect to the gauges. Gt500.  April car.

JD. The diagram helps! Maybe I can't open it enough to get colors? Thanks guys for all your help.

Under the hood photos are perfect. Exactly what I needed.

Final question I hope. Which wire under the dash do I tap into? Parking lights?

Typically blue with red stripe wire going to the radio as seen in reply #2 illustration for the lights in the pod. Be sure to tap in on the underdash harness side because if you hook to the pigtail coming out of the radio you will limit easy radio removal in the future.
