Am I correct in assuming there were no Sunlit Gold GT500KR's built?

Correct, there were no Gold KRs,  however there were Sunlit Gold Cobra Jet cars...

There were several Sunlit Gold engineering cars (GT500s) that received an engine swap by the engineers.

And in 1969 one GT500 got a Gold paint job before going to a Goodyear executive

Thanks Pete!

I knew their were/are '68 Mustang GT's with the 428CJ engine, but never saw one in a Sunlit Gold Shelby.
