Cropped photo?  It looks like the exact same photo in each shot. Same shadows, same upper body features, same finger spacing, same shadow at top of head, in each photo....Cool !!

I think there is a rebuttable presumption that the painting was hand painted from the photo with a selected California desert backdrop.  See photos infra.
He probably thought I was going to have an aneurysm if he didn't give me a status update from time to time.  In total it took about three months.  (I never rush an artist or try to tell them what to do.)  If there is an afterlife, maybe I will be reunited with 843 to drive into eternity down this highway, forever prowling the open road with blaring side exhaust into a sun that never sets.

Ok, I see what you're doing now.  At reply#39 it looked like the same exact images. 
I understand now, that your car with the mtn range in the background is actually a painting taken from the "Photo" of your car next to the buildings.

I just thought both were photos and photo chopped to the mountain background.

Yes, he does really lifelike artistry both man and machine. He captured my likeness very well. And the Shelby, well that is clear. I wanted to get it done before I got too old. I suppose I could have drawn upon an old photo in my advanced years but I wanted to enjoy the existence of this painting while I have more time on my life clock (in theory). I am an art connoisseur and glad I did it. I am considering having him paint my dad kissing his 32 Ford five window back in the 1950s.

Hey Tony is it the same in Spanish? Latin and Spanish have the same roots in the Indo-European languages. It is a legal standard in a negligence case where the burden of proof is difficult because of lack of witnesses. It is a three part test.
1. Such things do not happen but for the negligence of others.
2. The defendant was in exclusive control of the instrumentality at the time of the accident.
3. The plaintiff did nothing to contribute to the accident.

This is reminiscent of the sack of flour case in England.  A sack of flour fell out of a window and hit someone on the head resulting in a lawsuit. The court created the doctrine of res ipsa loquitur to resolve the case
