My worthless two cents...
I never installed headers on my '70 GT-500. For a mild rebuild, on the street..No way. PIA. That said, I just removed the Doug's headers off my 1970 AMX for the OEM "free flow" cast iron manifolds...didn't even notice any difference in power. And the engine is built to Group 19 specs...aka no way near stock.
