Drag link question

Restoring my 1969 Shelby GT350 that is equipped with power steering.  The threads where the PS control valve screws onto the drag link are damaged.  So I ordered a new drag link that was made by ACP.  The geometry does not match up.  The ACP DL is relatively straight, while the original part has slight bow in it.  Bottom line I don't think it will match up to the Pittman arm  or the idler without screwing up the steering geometry .  Has anyone run into this?  Is this DL unique to the Shelby variant?
thanks

2 different drag links on 69 shelby early regular mustang and  late big suspension beefed up thicker and bigger tie rod holes.

Its the repo parts variant. Get an original, plenty out there.

On the reproductions they try to do a one size fits all , claiming to be correct for 1967 - 1969 ,
where the original 69 is truley different .
On the 69 drag link,  the end with the idler arm dips down , where a 67-68 is straight at that same end.
In 70 (late 69?) they used a bigger diameter material through out , .850" if im not mistaken.
